Photovoltaic systems are permitted from 4/6/2010 on roofs of buildings and shelters.
These systems do not require environmental licensing, while for power systems up to one MWp it is not required to issue a production license. For systems larger than one MWp, a RAE production license is required. The only steps required are the provision of connection conditions by HTSO and a small-scale approval granted by the Construction and Planning Services of each town.
The above applies only to the mainland network, as autonomous islands networks are considered saturated and custom settings apply for them from time to time.
